Mirko & Marion Dieseler
We’re parents, coaches, and lifelong students of the game. TM17pro was born from our journey raising four soccer-loving kids across two continents — and our mission to help families navigate youth soccer with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
We’ve lived it all — from backyard games to elite academies, scholarships, injuries, and even professional contracts. As parents, we’ve cheered until we were hoarse, paced hospital hallways, and asked ourselves more than once if we were doing the right thing.
Our children have played in schoolyards, club teams, regional leagues in Germany, and the UPSL in the US. Through it all, one thing became clear: families need honest guidance — not guesswork — when it comes to navigating youth development in soccer. That’s why we started TM17pro.
With strong roots in both the US and German soccer systems, and a deeply personal understanding of what this journey looks like for families, we’re here to be the guide we once wished we had. Whether your child dreams of playing in Europe or just wants to become their best on and off the field, we offer trusted advice, personalized programs, and a clear path forward.
Leon Bätge
Leon Bätge is the Head Coach of all TM17pro camps across the United States and Director of Coaching and Soccer Operations. Every session standard, every feedback philosophy, every coaching methodology at every camp — including Minneapolis — is set by Leon.
Leon played professionally in Germany, signing his first contract at Eintracht Frankfurt under Nico Kovac. Trained under Bundesliga GK coaches Manfred Petz and Jan Zimmermann, he brings a direct coaching philosophy rooted in the German academy tradition: honest feedback, technical precision, and genuine attention to every player.
🎯 The TM17pro standard: Every coach who steps on the field at our Minneapolis camp is selected, trained, and supervised under Leon’s DFB framework. The same standard that shapes Bundesliga professionals — available to Minneapolis youth players this summer.
Lothar Matthäus.
The Man Who Shaped Our Eye.
The greatest German footballer of all time became Mirko’s business partner in Germany in 2013 — teaching him to read a game and scout players with the precision of a world champion. That knowledge is built into every TM17pro session.
Lothar Matthäus
150 international caps. 1990 FIFA World Cup winner. 1990 Ballon d’Or. In 1990 he was playing for Inter Milan — the club Thiemo now supports from his home in Italy. When Mirko and Lothar became business partners in 2013, Lothar taught Mirko to read a game the way professionals do: what happens before the ball arrives, what a player’s movement reveals about their intelligence, how to identify potential before statistics show it.
Lothar played for Inter Milan from 1988 to 1992 — winning the Serie A title in 1989 and reaching the peak of world football simultaneously. Thiemo, Mirko’s childhood friend from Hamburg, now lives in Italy and is a passionate Inter Milan supporter. The same club. The same year. A connection across decades.
The scouting intelligence Lothar built into Mirko’s coaching eye is reflected in how TM17pro coaches observe, assess, and develop players. When your player receives a performance evaluation at our Minneapolis camp, it’s built on a framework shaped by someone who competed at the very highest level of world football.
